Search for Missing Aircraft Continues   
CADILLAC, Michigan   The Civil Air Patrol search for the missing Cessna 182 aircraft continues on. The high wing small single engine aircraft was reported missing this morning. The airplane left Baldwin at 7:30 AM headed for Kalkaska but did not arrive at scheduled time.  A photograph of a similar plane, a Cessna 182 Skylane is included below.

Any information on the missing aircraft should be reported to the nearest law enforcement agency or to the mission base phone 231-779-0544.The Civil Air Patrol has set up mission base at the Wexford County airport.
 

 
 
In addition the Civil Air Patrol continues with aerial and ground team assessments of flood and storm damage to the greater Wexford County area.

Search for Missing Person Ends in Success  

CADILLAC, Michigan   The Civil Air Patrol search for a missing area residence was completed with a happy ending this afternoon at 3:45 PM. The elderly male who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s was found near his last known location in a diabetic collapse condition.  A CAP Ground Team located the elderly male assisted by a CAP aircrew. The Markey Township EMS stabilized the patient and moved him to a safe environment.

 The missing aircraft search continues for the small single engine, high wing plane. The aircraft was in route from Baldwin to Kalkaska but did not arrive on time at it’s destination. Any information on the missing aircraft should be reported to the nearest law enforcement agency or to the mission base phone 231-779-0544.

The Civil Air Patrol has set up mission base at the Wexford County airport.

Civil Air Patrol has been tasked to resume aerial assessments of flood and storm damage to the greater Wexford County area.  The area early today was designated as a disaster area by the governor.

Search for missing aircraft and missing person still in progress
 

CADILLAC, Michigan   The Civil Air Patrol is continuing the search for a missing aircraft that disappeared in route from Baldwin to Kalkaska. The small single engine high-wing aircraft took off from Baldwin at approximately 7:30 on Saturday morning but never arrived at its destination. CAP has launched both aircrews and ground teams in a coordinated search for the missing craft.  A missing person who disappeared in the South Higgins Lake State Park area is still at large.The elderly male was last seen at approximately 8:00 am on Saturday and was wearing a turquoise rugby shirt and black pants. He is 5’2’ tall and weighs around 160 lbs.  Any information either this missing person or the missing aircraft should be reported to the nearest law enforcement agency or to the mission base phone 231-779-0544. In addition, Civil Air Patrol assets from across the state have been operating in the area for since late Friday afternoon with damage assessment and communication relay. Civil Air Patrol Searches for Missing Person
 CADILLAC, Michigan   The Civil Air Patrol has been tasked by the AFRCC to assist in the search for a missing person. The missing person is an elderly male made from the state park area. He was dressed in turquoise rugby shirt and black pants.  His approximate height is 5 feet 2 inches and weight of 160 pounds. The search continues for a small single engine aircraft missing in route from Baldwin to Kalkaska. The aircraft took off at approximately 7:30 in the morning but never arrived at it’s destination. “We are looking for tips and information and the public is encouraged to report any observations to the Mission Base phone 231-779-0544 or any law enforcement agency” says Captain Mike Sandstrom Public Information officer.  The Civil Air Patrol has completed area damage assessments caused by recent flooding. CAP is operating from the a Mission Base at the Wexford County Airport in Cadillac.

CADILLAC, Michigan — An aircraft is missing in the Northern Michigan area. The small aircraft was on a flight from Baldwin to Kalkaska but did not arrive on time. Disaster relief efforts continues – Communications established
 CADILLAC, Michigan   — Civil Air Patrol continues with the disaster relief efforts due to the recent flooding and possible tornado damage in Wexford County and surrounding counties. Michigan Civil Air Patrol Activated in Disaster Relief Effort

CADILLAC, Michigan   — Due to the recent flooding and possible tornado damage the governor has declared Wexford County and surrounding counties a disaster area. The Michigan Wing Civil Air Patrol has been activated to assist in the relief effort.
